Here you see the fluid delivery hose. I knurled the full length bar, then cut it off a little oversized and faced it in the lathe to the proper dimension.
The fluid use is a water soluable cutting fluid. if I don't use the machine for a few weeks the fluid dries up and leaves behind a gummy coating that glues the hose to the last shape it was in. A bit of a pain because you need to break free every joint to get limbered up. It only takes about 5 minutes, but the anticipation of knowing you need to do it before you can make chips has to be controled so one dos not lose momentum on a project.
