This does a little better job of explaining what's going on here. Keep in mind that the return line is coming from the engine to the fuel sensor, then runs back toward the rear of the plane, does a U-turn, then comes forward to the reserve tank fitting. This gives me the 6" of straight line each side of the sensor that's recommended. I can't get a clear picture of it, but the line "U" is positioned above the floor of the plane, keeping it away from the rudder cable. I'll need to fashion some sort of support for it and will play hell getting it put in, but other than that I'm happy with the way this all turned out.
