Started the assembly of the port support arm. The bonded on bush failed. Went back to the starboard arm and checked it. The gas strut had broken the bond of one of the bushes there as well. Removed the gas strut and fittings. The mechanics are good. The construction technique is faulty. No Araldite to hold metal parts. Doesn’t work. Ordered 3’ of 3/4”x3/4”x1/8” aluminum angle to replace the bonded up stuff. I’ll also have to see if I can come up with a better method to join the two arms.
