The blocks were rounded off to allow the upper arm to pivot and rest, proper aligned, with the lower arm. The starboard upper arm was marked off for the holes, the 3/16-inch pivot hole and the #21 hole were drilled. The #21 hole was threaded with the 10-32 tap to accept the ball mount for the gas strut. The machining holes marking the removal area were drilled.
