The fuel filler pipe and adjacent areas of the skin were scuff sanded. Another batch of epoxy was mixed for the fuel pipe reinforcement. The areas to be reinforced were painted lightly with epoxy. The two 2-ply reinforcements were laid up on peel ply and pressed onto the fuel filler pipe and adjacent fuselage.
