A provided length of plywood was cut and shaped to be used as a "gusset" to support the ends of the tie bar. The area of the back of the cockpit module adjacent to the bar was scuff sanded. A bit of Araldite was mixed up and FLOX added. The Araldite/FLOX was slathered on the gussets. The gussets were carefully set in place and some washers inserted between the gusset and the bar to hold the gusset in place with proper spacing while the Araldite cures.
