Here the nitrile gasket is lying on top of the paper gasket, They are dimensionally identical. The nitrile gasket is quite soft and flexible. The paper gasket is stiff and hard.

The superfluous pump and plumbing removed. In addition, I connected the flaps to the electrical power source for the main pump (not shown). This provides power to the flaps through the old pump circuit breaker path. Tested and it works fine.

The longest AN3-30 bolt I had was too short so a longer bolt is on order as are aluminum spacers to maintain proper alignment of the ends of the MCs.
