When you mount the permanent Magnet motor onto the swing-arm, make sure you have the Flux ring resting on the swing-arm and the spindle parallel to the swing-arm. The Flux ring is the ring that is slipped over the can of the motor making the motor a larger diameter (closer to the spindle (front) of the motor, not the rear of the motor) .
