After working for a while with the first pro-type on the right, I didn't like it.
I picked up some pretty nice Tyco alligator clips from Home Depot for $3.49 a set. They have a screw for mounting the wire. I just stripped back the power strip cord ($3.27), crimped on a blue #6 ring terminal backwards, put a star washer under the head of the screw, once tightened it has a nice strain relief that crimps onto the insulation of the wire. The instructions want you to loop the wire inder the screw, but stranded wire does not work very good for that. The way I did it is first class!
Much nicer than the first proto-type.
