We didn't go through this exercise for practice, believe me. We got 3/8" pins. most of them would fall in place by gravity! Way over an inch play between 2 stabilators. .001" oversized pins sent us, but a joke. The holes were drilled and were trilobal! Then custom 10mm pins were sent with a reamer. I forget what the exact play was after 10mm something like 3/8 or 1/2". No way is any slop allowed on a new build in our minds (circa 2004). Thus took on a pretty monumental task. Europa went out of business at the time, so no way exchange available. Also the bores of the mass balance horn and stabilator drive were bored uneven (they did not meet precise), oval and oversized! Precision shimming with stainless shims made it right.
