Alan shot with his camera (different camera than used for more offficial Taxi/Landing LED testing) across to hangar from about 50 feet. Note that this large hangar door is light blue (small door is white), not large white door like we projected on during the more official testing. None the less you can see it is a very narrow in height beam, reasonably wide. For automobile driving Fog distances, with LEDs drawing 1/2 amp each they are probably not too bad! For us though, too sensative in vertical aiming and just not enough light being thrown for taxi (also beam too narrow in width and height at taxi distance) and too wide and too sensative in pitch and not bright enough for landing distance. There is almost identical performance between rectangle and round units with amp draw identical (500mA) from fully charged Odyssey PC-545 battery.
