Flap Upstops 4 of 7

Not without fighting me though.

I first cut out the stud on the lathe (plunging on the face) trying to get it the right size (on left in pic). Didn't work out. The thin Stainless is a pain to cut, and being pretty malleable, it mushes and pushes from the cutting bit).
Thus the stud plate shown (stud from it on left) has too large an ID.

Then made things under sized and filed to fit nut. Worked well (middle and right stud).

Then the second under sized stud (on right) caught my tool bit (all the way on right) and broke it. It was right near the edge of the cut so I was able to break the stud out.

I also put the cut off stud plates in my milling machine vise and flattened as much as I could before welding on the nut. These up stop plates are going to bet sandwiched between the cockpit module and the baggage bay bulkhead.
I trued them up holding in my 6 jaw chuck.
