Cut eight pieces of BID, each 5"x5". They will form the four plies for each aft socket shim layup. Scuff sanded the areas around the shims. Mixed up a batch of epoxy with FLOX and applied it around both shims to form Flox fillets and fill in the "steps" on the sides of the shims. This will allow the BID to drape comfortably over the shim. Mixed a batch of epoxy and laid up the four plies of BID on a sheet of poly. Painted a thin coat of epoxy around the shims and pressed the layups over the shims using the paintbrush to press it into place and form it around the shim. Placed strips of peel ply over the layups.
