I couldn't fasten the upper anchor nuts with the usual rivets due to the thickness of the material above the tunnel. I drilled 1" deep #40 holes to mount the nuts. Next, I threaded the mounting holes in the nuts for 4-40 threads. Then, I made up a tiny batch of Araldite and mixed in some milled glass fiber for body and strength. I injected the Araldite/mill mix into the mounting holes with an old industrial syringe. Finally, I screwed in 1" 4-40 stainless steel machine screws into the mounting holes to hold the anchor nuts in place. I think this should hold them well enough.
