DSCN8333
A nice Gentleman Farmer built this Lancair in 13 years.
He added a lower fin area to rudder and moved hinge from flap from top to bottom and increased throw and added a dam to root of flap.
This allows him to fly off his short grass strip.
He says he does not practice stalls!
Notice power station style indicators he purchased from Digi-Key.
He switched to I think ~ 35 mA or mV range because he is comfortable with that and used resistors in series with senders to match.
He also had fans from an ice air conditioner blowing on him.
He could not fit one from Sportys so he stole numbers and purchased components and built one about size of 6 pack. Block ice lasts him about 45 minutes and crushed ice 30 minutes. He needs for ground ops.
