Fred fitting fairings 4.

Ron...these pixs are solely to cover the issues of locating the fairings on the wing/flap & fuselage...and ...bonding upper and lower fairings together. When this is done, other issues come into play depending upon how you decided to apportion the fairings to wing, flap, and fuse.

Note that the 14-3/4" dimension shown on #4 (#977) may vary, but the critical thing is to have the same dimension from fuselage centerline on both port & stbd...I used the centerpoints along the bottom of the fuse to determine a bottom centerline, and cross checked w/ a top centerline determined by a stringline from center of vertical fin to the midpoint between the door hinges...the dimension of 14'3/4" is off the top of fuselage centerline.

Pix #10 (#997) is included to show how the forwardmost lip of the lower fairing tucks "under" the aft-most end of the underside of the stock fairing.

Have you installed your flap hinges & connecting rod, flap extensions, and achieved a satisfactory fit and deployment/retraction action?

Have you trial fitted your stock wing root fairings?
