Yup, that's Mighty Mouse. That was Gary's nick-name in the Navy. So it's fitting for the name of his Toot.

2010 01 22 - Did a preflight in the hanger. Pulled the aircraft out, climbed in, strapped up and began the start check list. Got to set brake and the brake handle came all the way back. No brakes again.

2010 01 17 Managed to get about an hour of landing practice in today. Feeling more comfortable again. Had to stop because the brakes went out on what turned out to be my last landing. Tower: "Experimental 4XL, exit taxiway A. Are you going back t

Completed the fuel system mods on New Years Day, 2010 01 10. This is a view from the aft looking forward. It's not perfect as I'd like to have two gascolators or filters in the lines from the fuel tank to the selector valve, but it's too late to do this

Went to the airport to take pics of the latest version of the fuel system (now posted on the Fuel System Saga album). It was gloriously beautiful. Severe clear. Winds 5 to 7 from almost due west.

Flew the aircraft once around the pattern and checked for leaks again. Nothing. Went back out and flew circuits for a bit more than an hour. Very rusty on the landings. Need a couple more hours of practice. Still, it's good to be flying again!
