1/8" 4130 bracket
I made the main bracket out of a 1/8" x 3" wide bar.
I began cutting a piece the width of the pillow block and 3" long, then tapered the sides at a 20 degree angle.
You will see within this album that I counter-bored holes to allow a socket to fit around the AN4 bolts (hole is 21/32" .656"). I needed to thin the heads of the bolts down to .125". The rest of the holes you see are lightening holes(holes are 21/32" .656").
Here you see one of the cable spacers installed. They are machined so you need to squeeze the bearing a little to get them to touch each other. The larger flange is so the lock washers have something to bite against.
Really weird thread, 11/16-24 they use for bulkhead mounting on Series 6 cables.
I TIG welded another plate a little thicker to give me the offset I wanted ( 3" long, 1/8" thick and .750" wide) and also allow the heads of the bolts to live without standing off.
The pillow block is very close to the rear lift tiebar.
Thus I shot aft with the bracket over a reinforced area of the pitch tunnel. I am using three 3/16" screws because of the less than ideal spacing. Only using two 1/4-28 screws for the front cable mount because was able to put one far forward and one far aft.
