Supplied with cable nuts were .190" thick

Using fore and aft the supplied by Europa for push-rod jam nuts that are .155" thick

The magic number is 1.990" from the forward pillow block bearing to the grove.

You can see the pillow block is aft of the threads

The threaded portion of my "thunk" fits nicely inside this spacer

The 11/16-16 thread is not too common

I will leave ~ 1.25 diameters of thread engaging and remove all else

What an idiot, I turned off half the nut down to spacer OD to save a little weight

You can see I left a little space so the spacer can pinch the bearing when the nut is tightened

I'm going to Redux the nut in place and Redux/Flox the thread extender hang-over
