This is a shot of port rudder cable fairlead taken through starboard inspection hole.
Fairlead runs forward (to right) forward of bulkhead by about an inch.
Reason for the guide (Phenolic tube JB KWIKed to a piece of Balsa then 3 thin model aeroplane plies) is to keep cable from riding up on tailwheel spring "outrigger". Notice edges of "outrigger" are nice and rounded on port side.
I was hesitant to weld on a rudder cable fairlead guide to "outrigger" in the event it rotated or twisted (bent bolt) which could jam cable.
.032" safety wire holds fairlead from sliding forward or aft.
Camera tells all, couldn't see bunched up wrinkle in glass when doing layup.
