Used a piloted microstop counter bore to countersink holes in stop and a 4-40 gun tap to tap fuse holes. Gun taps push chips forward and do not require opposite rotation chip breaking routine, just screw in, screw out and you have a nice tapped hole (works great in most all materials).
Stop and screws were Redux/floxed in place, then got a 1 ply Redux/BID layup covered with peel ply.
Will fill to make look pretty once Redux layup cures.
Good practice to sand down to glass (through gelcoat) on any structural bond.
Good practice to Redux/BID (peelply)metal in structural applications.
(Aileron bracket to fuse is a good place to practice sanding down to glass, then Redux/BID/peelply first ply, then complete layup with Aeropoxy/BID)
