Vertical upright, swing-arm and generator install 6 of 7.
4) Now it's time to mount the motor to the swing-arm. Drill clearance holes in the motor flange for two 1+ 5/8" or 2" Sheetrock screws situated where the holes are over the center-line of the 2 x 6.. Then drill one pilot hole into the 2 x 6 and screw in the first screw making sure the spindle is parallel with the 2 x 6. Then drill a second pilot hole and install the second mounting screw.
5) Now for a fun step, mounting the swing-arm. Any misalignment, warped wood or other errors can be corrected in this step. Insure your tire is filled to proper pressure, buckets are sitting flat on a flat surface and the axle extenders are fully resting on the top of the Bucket 2 x 6s.
Now sight the spindle where it is 90 degrees to the tire in the vertical and horizontal plane, and the swing-arm is parallel to the top Bucket 2 x 6. Take your time. once you are happy, drill a clearance hole in the front upright for a 3" Sheetrock screw and a pilot hole in the swing-arm and then install and tighten the screw. You want the location about centered on the 2 x 3 upright and centered on the swing-arm.
Having a pedalee pedal, make sure you are happy with the alignment as described above. since we only have one pivot screw installed at this point you have the ability to adjust things until they are where you want them. Once you are satisfied, drill a clearance and pilot hole and install and tighten the second aft 3" pivot screw. At this point have the screws tight enough where the swing-arm is tight and will not move with just the force of gravity.
