Other difference is loaner tool on bottom has a different set of crimp inserts (4) compared to Steinair tool on top.
Loaner crimps are straight and Steinair has 2 holes that crimp on each insert.
Ends up that someone ground off 2 of the 5 ratchet notches so tool dosen't overcrimp on the loaner tool. You need to be very careful to only squeeze until third click and release or you will overcrimp.
Steinair tool is perfect for D-sub as far as being able to ratchet the full 5 clicks and not overcrimp.
With the newly fabricated pin holder Steinair supplied is now my tool of choice.
