High quality connector from an old Grumman.
I stopped by an Army / Navy store and it had the front 1/4 of what I think is a Grumman S2F or S2A outside.
It has a huge pod above and behind the pilot (~1952s??).
I initially thought it was some sort of intake for a jet engine, but I may be wrong now that I see it has twin props on wings. It may be some sort of radar dome/pod?.
Looking closely at the amputation cut, there were no less than a gazillion of these green sealed electrical rectangles.
I took one back to hangar and went after it with a hammer. It appears to just be a high quality means of connecting several pairs of wires (sealed of course).
Not sure what the translucent red wires are for.
