Gary, right, allowed me to fly his beautiful Stearman. Gary took off from Northwest Regional and handed the controls over to me. Did some turn and steep turns followed by a "stall." Didn't really stall, just settled into a nose-high massive rate of descent. Had full aileron control. A bit of forward pressure and plenty of throttle to recover. Gary allowed me to land it at a grass strip. Took a couple tries to get the right height and sight pic, but once I had it, it was easy. Flew about an hour or so. Nice airplane to fly. Big fuzzy pussycat of an airplane. Here Gary and Tommy are finishing up the wash job, removing all the mud from the grass landings.
