2010 01 17 Managed to get about an hour of landing practice in today. Feeling more comfortable again. Had to stop because the brakes went out on what turned out to be my last landing. Tower: "Experimental 4XL, exit taxiway A. Are you going back to takeoff?" 4XL: "Exit taxiway A, Affermative, return to takeoff, 4XL" Tower: "Experimental 4XL, you may make a 180 back to taxiway A" 4XL: "Negative on 180, brakes gone, exiting on Taxiway B, 4XL" Tower: "Experimental 4XL, you still going back to takeoff?" 4XL: "NEGATIVE, returning to hanger" Tower: "Experimental 4XL, good, taxi with me on tower frequency" 4XL: "Tower frequency, 4XL" Back in the hanger, added about 9 cc of brake fluid to the almost empty master cylinder. Confirmed all OK with some taxi, and a run to the pumps to fill up. Hope to fly more later this week after some weather blows through on Wednesday.
