PTT01Ann
Drilled #10 holes in the bottom of the control column fixture for the Push To Talk wires. Threaded enough of the wire through to reach the top of the control column. Slipped the control column over the wire. I donÂ’t like it. The hole is too small and the sharp edges will cut the insulation and cause problems. Removed the control column. Removed the PTT wiring. Drilled out the hole to 1/4-inch. [ Damaged the close quarters drill, AGAIN. Screw it. Not going to have it repaired again as the repair cost is 2x the cost to purchase a NEW ONE. ] Inserted a length of 1/4-inch nylon tube and trimmed it flush with the control column fixture. Ran the PTT wire through. It is much nicer this now. Easier on the cable, less chance that it will be shorted on the fixture.
