The leading edge of the rudder would contact the rudder drive rod when the rudder was swung port. The contact area had to be relieved to allow full port movement. This involved numerous installation of the rudder and test for movement followed by removal of material. This took most of the morning. Did finally obtain sufficient port rudder movement.
