Tailplane
The tailplane consists of two halves, the inner one of which needs a rib to be laid up on it. This will later disappear inside when the two halves are joined and covered. I make an improvised tool out of the torque tube, which also makes it easy to turn and work on on all sides.

Jig for holding tailplanes. The inner rib and rear close outs all need to go in in one go, and orienting the tailplane this way uses gravity to keep it all in place when you are working on it.
