Here is Bill placing in some 2x6's to act as a support for the rear rib. The I-beam is 3 inches wide so the 2x6 fit perfectly. I'll explain later how those come into play.

When I received the plane it had a few areas of this green tape. I guess it was going to be used as a release agent for some sort of jig fabrication. I have found that this 3M stuff works very well.
