We made BID oversized as it distorts quite a bit when smoothed out.
Difficult at best trying to cut BID in place even though we had green tape to guide us.
We shot for at least giving what manual calls for 1+11/16" overlap onto the cockpit module.
This is the second 2 BID layup. We waited for the first 2 BID to tack up pretty good before laying up the second 2 BID. I think because the first 2 BID is rougher than the scuff sanded wood or fiberglass, the second 2 BID stays in place better.
