Went after 7075 bar with Kalamazoo bandsaw in my home, then a crappy 2" beltsander I just picked up from Sears to keep at hangar (have a 1" and 6" beltsander at home, but carrying stop back and forth would be a pain), then permagrit, then hand files and finished for now with sandpaper.
The two mounting holes were drilled undersized (.246").
3M 375 packaging tape was put on tailwheel horn, stop was clamped in place, then JB KWIK welded in position.
drilled through with .246" drill, then stepped up to .250" drill for a nice fit.
